How to Use ONINCE AI Box on a Harley Davidson Motorcycle

First-Time Setup

1.    Pair Bluetooth helmet → select Rider Mode

First, pair your Bluetooth helmet with your Harley-Davidson motorcycle’s Bluetooth, then select Rider Mode.

2.     Plug in AI Box → CarPlay icon lights up

After connecting the box to the Harley motorcycle, if the CarPlay icon lights up, it means the box is running successfully.

Note: Be sure to connect your Bluetooth helmet to the motorcycle before connecting our device; otherwise, the motorcycle may repeatedly prompt to connect the Ai Box as a headset, and you may not be able to bypass this prompt.

3.    Resolution screen appears → Power Bike off for 1 min

When the AI Box boots for the first time, it will calibrate the screen and then automatically reboot. After the AI Box restarts, please turn off the motorcycle and wait for 1 minute before powering it back on; otherwise, the AI Box may fail to reconnect.

4.    Power Bike on → Android Auto ready

Seeing this interface indicates that the AI Box is functioning properly, and both CarPlay and Android Auto are ready.

 

How to Use Wireless Android Auto or CarPlay

Click the Android Auto or CarPlay icon to check the Bluetooth name for wireless connection.

  1. Forget phone from motorcycle’s Bluetooth
  2. Turn on your phone’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
  3. Pair your phone’s Bluetooth with the AI Box’s Bluetooth.
  4. Follow the prompts on your phone, and the connection will be successful.

Troubleshootings

1. What should I do if the Ai Box doesn’t work on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle?

please follow these steps:

1)     Go to Settings (gear icon) → System.

2)     Check System Information.

3)     Perform a Factory Reset (do not select “Privacy Reset”).

Note: This will erase all data from your motorcycle, including Bluetooth pairings, clock       settings, and other personal information.

4) Rider Mode Setting.

      After factory reset, connect the Bluetooth helmet and select Rider mode. Otherwise, CarPlay won’t activate and the Ai Box can’t connect by cable.

2. Bluetooth cannot connect to the phone?

The AI Box’s Bluetooth is meant to connect only with your phone. Do not pair it with the Harley-Davidson motorcycle’s Bluetooth, or Android Auto functions will not work.

3.Not Siri Voice Prompts ?

When using bypass products such as Maid Hawk:

1)      Siri’s voice prompts will not play through the motorcycle’s speakers.

2)      To hear Siri read messages or other voice content, you must wear a Bluetooth helmet.

4.What to do if the motorcycle keeps prompting Ai Box as a headset?

If you encounter this issue:

1)      First, choose Decline when prompted.

2)      If the prompt keeps appearing, choose Accept.

3)      Go to the motorcycle’s Bluetooth settings and delete CP-AI-BOX-###.

4)      Press Menu → CarPlay to return to the AI Box interface.

5)      Pair your Android phone with the Ai Box as usual. 

5. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are connected, but Android Auto is not working?

1)      On your phone, Open Google Play Store.

2)      Uninstall the current Android Auto app.

3)      Reinstall the latest version.

4)      Reconnect the AI Box and try again.

6.   Why does the Ai Box sometimes start on a Harley motorcycle and sometimes not?

       This issue usually occurs because our device starts up very quickly, while your bike’s system starts more slowly, causing the device and the bike to miss the handshake. When this happens, it can take about a minute—or sometimes longer—for the handshake to be retriggered.

To solve this, you can set adelayed startfor our device, which will most likely fix the issue. You can find the setting here:

Settings > Engineer Mode > Delayed Start

Once set, it will take effect from the next startup. We recommend trying 30 seconds first, but the exact delay may need some on-site adjustment, as each bike’s startup speed may vary slightly.
