First thing. If your carplay is by USB-A DO NOT GET THIS unless you're going to use a usb c to usb a adapter. Which feels backwards.
Set up is simple. Biggest perk is how compact it is. It's barely noticeable. I cannot stress how helpful this is. I like it.
This wireless CarPlay adapter- USB C (2025 Upgrade) is impressively small and functional! I have an older wireless adapter (I believe it is was for 2018+ models) which was already compact for its time, but this one is even tinier—fitting into my 2020 GMC Sierra's console so subtly it feels almost like an OEM part. The design is sleek, and it doesn’t stick out like other bulkier adapters I’ve tried. The connection is fast and stable, a noticeable improvement over my previous model, pairing with my iPhone in about 10-15 seconds via Bluetooth and WiFi. (Generally I am connected by the time I take down sunshade, take off parking break and putting in drive.
While the advertised 5- and 7-second connection times seem slightly optimistic (likely due to my 2020 car’s hardware, as newer models might boot faster), it’s still quicker than any other adapter I’ve tested. I’ve had no drops or lag while using CarPlay for navigation and music, making my drives smoother. The USB-C compatibility works perfectly with my setup, and the plug-and-play design required no fuss. For the price, it’s a fantastic upgrade for anyone with wired CarPlay looking for a compact, reliable wireless solution. Highly recommend!
I got this because I have a 2019 Kia and it didn't come with wireless CarPlay standard. This thing works great! Since my car had USB-A and this is USB-C I had to get a dongle to make it work. I wasn't sure if the dongle would cause any problems, but it's working perfect. The first time you plug it in wait a few seconds and look for the device name on your phone's bluetooth (it will show the name of the device on your car's screen). No fuss with the computer, updates, or pairing issues. After that, it will automatically connect each time you turn on your car. I didn't notice any lag, it worked just as fast and clear as if it was plugged in. I tried with the phone in the back seat and front, both worked seamlessly.I've been using it all day and each time I've got in the car it connects right away and I just have to select CarPlay on the car's screen. Takes about 10-15 seconds to connect with my iPhone 15 pro. Used it on an hour long drive and had no connection issues, didn't seem to drain my phone battery much either. My friend has a Honda with USB-C for CarPlay but no wireless CarPlay and the plug is in a really annoying spot. This would be perfect because it's so small. I'd say this is a great upgrade for any pre-wireless CarPlay car for the price.
I needed this to convert my AirPlay in my 20 Silverado to wireless. After having wireless AirPlay in other vehicles, it’s super hard to go back to a plug. This tiny little device does that and makes it work wirelessly. Set up was simple- follow directions on your screen, use your Bluetooth to connect to the unit and follow the prompts. Connected in seconds. Full functionality. Works great for Chevy/ Gm that only has wire based CarPlay. Totally Recc and great value for money considering the convenience it provides. Now I can hop in and go and connect wirelessly no matter where I throw my phone in the truck. And this thing is tiny btw. Plugs into usbc connection.
I wanted to see if I could get rid of those wires and convert them all to a this tiny device. It was easy to use - I just followed the directions on the screen, and before I knew it, I was connected to everything! This is a game changer for me. It was a little expensive but totally worth it when you think about what you are gaining - hands free access again to your world. It comes in a little box and is about the size of a quarter. A definite keeper.
